Sew Many Challenge # 6

Happy Tuesday!! It's challenge time at Sewn Many Cards. This week's challenge is to make a stair step card using any Sewn Together digital stamp. This was my first time to use the stair step technique, and I admit it was quite "challenging" for me. I've spent too many years making 12x12 scrap los, and filling all those little spaces was tough. However, now that I've done one, I'm hooked and have actually started 2 more.

For my card, I used papers from the HOTP Citrus Pack. All the brads also came from HOTP. I colored Eris with my Bic markers and chalked the edges. The presents and balloons are from the Sewn Together Birthday pack. I cut the images out and mounted them on foam tape. The balloon strings are DMC thread, and the ribbon is from my stash.

I hope you join us for this week's fun challenge. Please check out Angela's blog for the rest of the design team's terrific cards, and don't forget to get this week's free digi stamp. It's a cutie!! The deadline to enter this week's challenge is midnight (est) Monday, October 5. Angela has free stamps for the winner. Hope to see your entry! Have a great week. God bless you!

Paper Cutz Challenge #10

Good morning. It's Friday once again, so that means its time for another challenge at Paper Cutz Challenge. Mary has a super easy challenge for us this week -- make a paper craft project using at least 3 buttons. You can use any theme and colors. She has 3 sets of Back to School 3d die cuts from Keepsake for this week's winner, so be sure and get your entry posted to the PCC blog by midnight (EST) on October 1. Also be sure and check out all the other designer's terrific projects for loads of inspiration.

For my project I used another digi stamp from the Sewn Together line @ Sew Many Cards (I know -- I'm a little obsessed with these stamps!) The images was printed on a scalloped circle cut with the Storybook Cricut cart and colored with my bic markers. The "Trick or Treat" stamp is from Stampabilities. I used Tim Holtz Distressed ink in Walnut Stain, and then chalked the edges in brown. I mounted the 2 images on a tag cut with the George and Basic Shapes cart. The pp came from Paper Wishes and the suede cord is from WalMart. I hope everyone has a chance to join this week's challenge, and I look forward to seeing your creations. Happy crafting! God bless you!!

Sewn Together Challenge # 5

Happy Tuesday! It challenge time at Sewn Together, again. This week's challange is to make a paper project using one of Angela's donkey designs. Pretty easy, huh? I promise the hardest part of this challenge is will be having to decide which stamp to use! For my card, I used bic markers to color the digital stamp. The paper all came from my scrap piles. I inked all the edges black, cut out and mounted donkey on foam tape, and then inserted the eyelets and used black DMC thread for the lacing. Now it's your turn. Visit the Sew Many Cards blog today to see all the projects submitted by the design team. The deadline to enter this week's challenge is midnight (eastern time) on Monday, Sept 28. The winner will receive 3 Sewn Together images and HOTP Swirls Template. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations! Hope everyone has a wonderful week. God bless you!

Paper Cutz Challenge # 8

Good Friday morning, everyone. It's time again for another Paper Cutz Challenge. It's amazing how fast the weeks are flying by, and we're already to challenge #8. This week's challenge is to make a fall card, layout, or other paper craft using one item from each of the following categories: A (apples, acrons, or autumn leaves), B (buttons, brads, or bows), and C (circles, charms, or crochet emblishments). The paper came from my stash. The cute digi stamp is from the Sewn Together collections. I colored it with my Bic markers. The circle was cut with a multi-shape punch from Paperwishes, and the leaves are Martha Stewart. This was a really run challenge and I hope everyone will check out all the great projects from the design team and then enter the challenge. Mary has some really cute HOTP Halloween brad buddies for this week's winner. Have a great weekend and God bless!

Paper Cutz Challenge # 7

Good Friday morning, everyone. It's time again for the challenge at Paper Cutz Challenge. This week Mary has a sketch for us. I has a lot of fun with this project, and after a week where I was challenged to use orange in a baby card but not in a Halloween card, it was nice a relief to be able to choose my colors. lol The adorable image is a Sewn Together digi stamp, and the rest of supplies have been in my stash for longer than I can remember.

Be sure and head over to the Paper Cutz Challenge blog and see all the great projects submitted by the rest of the design team. Entries must be submitted by midnight, Thursday, September 10, and Mary always has terrific prizes for each week's winner, so be sure to get your projects entered.

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day weekend, and hope each of you get a little time for crafting. Until next time, God bless you.
